I've had several people after me to get one of those things too, and I'm always telling them "not a chance". And it's for the same reason as you; I don't want most of the people from my past to find me (not that any of them would be inclined to do so - if any of them even remember me at all - but that's beside the point). <a href="http://www.last.fm" rel="nofollow">Last.fm</a> is as close as I'm ever gonna get to a social network, and the only reason I signed up for it is because it is specifically music oriented. And it keeps all kinds of statistics about my iTunes and iPod listening habits which the numbers dork in me likes. ;-) I hear that.
