The long and short of it

My girlfriend made an interesting observation the other day, along the lines that a lot of bands these days have too many damned words in their names. Examples include The Devil Wears Prada, Every Time I Die, Bring Me the Horizon, and so on. A majority of these groups fall into the eminently shitty deathcore genre. Those bands are often pretentious, and the overly complicated names make them sound even more so!

I think a new rule needs to be written. If you’re forming a band, you get a maximum of two words. (Exception: if your band name begins with “the” or “a,” that word doesn’t count.)
