My name is liquidcross, and welcome to Text and Violence. This is a blog that features my rants on a variety of topics, as well as the occasional nostalgia trip. If something annoys me, I’ll talk about it here; it could be about video games, movies, music, politics…anything’s fair game. I won’t always have a regular posting schedule, but I’ll try to post at least once a week. It’s all dependent on what’s going on the world, how angry things make me, or if I dredge up some random memory to write about. Note: My posts are generally written many days in advance, and scheduled to appear in the morning automatically. That’s why I may not always be timely with responses to breaking news; I’ve got other stuff already coming down the wire!

Just be forewarned that my commentary often contains strong opinions and harsh language, so if you’re easily offended by that sort of thing, you may want to go elsewhere. This blog does not represent the whole of my personality, mind you, nor does it reflect my professional character. It’s just an outlet through which I relieve stress, nothing more. Some people play sports to unwind, others go to the rifle range…I write.

Also, you needn’t worry about my mental health; I’m not really blowing a blood vessel over this stuff. I often write my rants in an over-the-top fashion in order to make them a more entertaining read! C’mon, as angry as a video game or whatever may make me, it’s certainly not worth having a genuine breakdown over, now is it?
